Chavrie® Fresh Goat Cheese Enhances Product Line with Exciting New Flavors

New Holland, PA (June 2, 2014) - Today Chavrie Fresh Goat Cheese, one of America's first fresh goat cheese brands, introduced four new flavors to its product line: Goat Cheese Log with Cranberries and Candied Orange Peel; Goat Cheese Log with Thyme and Zesty Lemon; Crumbled Goat Cheese with Cranberries, Candied Orange Peel & Pumpkin Seeds; and Crumbled Goat Cheese with Thyme, Apricots, Candied Lemon Peel & Pumpkin Seeds.  All four new flavors are available in grocery store deli sections nationwide with a suggested retail price of $4.99.

In addition to the new flavors, all Chavrie log varieties will feature new, innovative packaging to preserve the freshness of the cheese and to improve the overall consumer experience.  The new 'crystal pack' will offer a clear view of the cheese and the ingredients while helping to retain the log shape when unwrapping at home. This new packaging will be in stores at the end of July.

"We are pleased to announce the introduction of these four exciting new varieties of fresh goat cheese," said Jeff Magnuson, Associate Brand Manager for Chavrie Goat Cheese. "Consumers are looking for exciting and approachable solutions for everyday cooking and entertaining - our new products offer just that. The goat cheese category is a growth area for retailers, with 2014 Year to Date dollar sales up 9.3% nationally1.  The new crumbles offer a total salad solution: cheese, color, and crunch in just one shake. The new log varieties combined with the improved packaging offers an easy entertaining option.

The new varieties join Chavrie's very popular Original Pyramid, Sweet Basil Pyramid, Original Log, and Sundried Tomato & Garlic Log.
