Herbed Cheesecake with Chavrie Goat Cheese

Cheesecake isn't just for dessert! This savory Herbed Cheesecake made with Chavrie Goat Cheese is firm, yet silky, a texture that is perfect to use on bread or crackers as a spread.

Chavrie Pyramid Original Goat Cheese


For the Shell:
  • 1 Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 4 oz. Grated parmesan
  • 1 Tbsp. Melted butter
  • 1 tsp. Chopped rosemary
For the Filling or Batter:
  • 2 lbs. Chavrie Goat Cheese Original
  • 3 ea. Eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Milk
  • ½ tsp. Chopped parsley
  • ½ tsp. Chopped thyme
  • ½ tsp. Chopped chives
  • Salt and pepper to season


For the Shell:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Blend all ingredients together until mixed well.
  3. Press into the bottom of a 9 inch baking dish or false bottom pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes to crisp up the shell.
For the Cheesecake:
  1. Blend Chavrie Goat Cheese with eggs and mix well.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix.
  3. Scatter the spinach evenly over the bottom of the pre-baked shell.
  4. Pour custard into the shell.
  5. Bake at 350°F until a knife blade inserted into the cake comes out clean about 45 minutes.
  6. Use Roast Garlic and Herb Chavrie omit the herbs in batter.
